Over all quality and durability is good. The paper cover on the business end of the stethoscope was the first to fall off. She loves playing doctor with it on her stuffed animals and listens to her heartbeat too!

I use this product in my preschool class of 3 year olds when we learn about our bodies and community helpers. I keep it around my neck and place it on their heart and back to hear the heartbeat and breathing. I purchased my first one from DSS maybe 5 years ago, loved it and used it every year. It got broken last year through misuse so I purchased another one. I dont know if you have switched manufacturers or not but this one is awful. In fact, I want to return it because it is unusable. It seems cheaper in quality and when I try and put in on my neck or in my ears, it twists and pops out. It actually hurts when that happens so I had to be really careful when I placed it in the kids ears so as not to hurt them when they listened to their heartbeat. I usually love DSS products but not this one...
