Better then expected, and I expect a lot!
From the description, I expected a lot of bug photographs and x-rays. I got that, but what I didn't expect was that the photographs are double sided, showing the front and the back of the same bug, in the same pose as the x-ray image! Yes! So happy! Now my kids can examine a large variety of bugs in... detail, upside down AND inside out. That being said, four year olds are not careful people, so I will probably laminate the photographs and put the x-rays in sheet protectors to avoid scratching and bending.

Not a bad set
It would be helpful if the cards listed what the type of bug was, or a small section of information about the bugs themselves.

Kids were excited to use these as part of an insect unit. [...] the x-ray film was easily scratched when the kids handled them.

We use these in the Fall when we study skeletons and again in the spring when we study insects! The children are very good at recognizing and matching the cards to the x-rays and naming the insects. I recommend these to every Montessori school.
