Great teaching tool but clock hands are fragile
This magnetic clock has a lot of great features. The size is great, the marking are easy for kids to see, and the additional magnets (half-hour, quarter hour etc.) are very useful. My only concern is that the hands of the clock are subject to bending and, therefore, not easy for a child to position....

Yes, I am being corny, but this is such a helpful clock. It includes movable hands that are fragile, but working, magnets with the time by 5's, and magnets to teach quarter after, half past, and quarter till. I have used it for summer tutoring and will get to use it in the classroom tomorrow.

The magnet backing has been great, I put the clock on our chalkboard and the kids are able to place the 5 minute markers around the clock. So not only are they learning to tell time, but also skip counting by 5s. Great quality and very much worth the price.

My only concern is that the hands of the clock are subject to bending and, therefore, not easy for a child to position. I find the clock best used with adult supervision. A good teaching tool, but not great for little hands without adult help.

The looks good in the book but I have a few pieces missing so I could not use it to teach the students.

I LOVE this product. It makes teaching clocks so much cleaner. I used to have to draw the clocks on the white board or smart board. Then erase. Now, I just move the hands. The students learned hour and 1/2 hour in less than 40 minutes today. It was beautiful!
