Excellent quality
I use this product to memorize the tables.
I would buy this product again!
This product is being used as an incentive for students to learn their multiplication facts. It is working great to encourage students in learning their facts. They fit great! I am using them with 3rd graders.
Very expensive but in my class they work!
These are expensive...but, for my class I have used them for the past many years as an incentive for memorizing their multiplication facts. I read the other reviews who said the numbers rubbed off but I have never had that happen. When a student memorizes a fact family, they get a certificate, a bracelet, a medium size candy and they get Bosco Bucks, money that they can use in our monthly store! I work in a very impoverished school where the kids for the most part get no parent help so I need to really motivate them because they must do this on their own. It is so nice to see them as they earn each bracelet proudly wearing them and it becomes infectious as they start to compete with how many they can earn and wear at the same time. It has been a good motivator and incentive for my program but it is expensive to do!
- Pros
- Kids love them!
- Cons
- EXPENSIVE!!!!
- Having certain facts left over
- and you have to buy as sets
Numbers rubbed off
Hi! I loved these when they came, and the kids were very excited to use them. I wanted them to wear them all the time, and would give surprise treat when they were caught wearing them. However, after about the second or third daym they wore off and were still colored, but had no facts on them. The kids and I were dissappointed. Advice? Should I have used clear nail polish on them to keep from wearing off? Otherwise, service was great! Thanks!
Still a few bugs to work out.
I purchased these wristbands as prizes to hand out (my kids are really into multiplication and apparently wearing rubber bands on your wrist is "in" this year so I thought I'd give it a go). The kids LOVED these and wen't crazy the moment I handed out an initial wristband to get them all started and eager to earn more. I especially liked that students were purposefully trading with their friends to get the wristband that had the facts that they needed to study in particular. However, by the third and fourth day, students were showing me their faded wristbands which were already missing the numbers. Though the wristband itself is very durable, the ink used to print the numbers apparently is not.Especially considering that kids are very kinesthetic and tactile, it is natural to assume that they will "play" with their wristband from time to time (moving it, adjusting it, touching it in general). It would be really nice if the numbers on the wristband wouldn't fade so easily.

Good at first
I used these to help kids (and me!) keep track of where they were in the process of memorizing toward fluency. It worked well because kids could review the facts they were working on anytime and they really liked them. But then the numbers started rubbing off. Now I have a bunch of colored wristbands that aren't helping my kids with their facts anymore - disappointing. Maybe if they were embossed rather than just printed?

One more option
Special education students need lots of review. This is one more option to add to flashcards, monster cards, multiplication charts, and wrap-ups. The bright colors and bling attraction calls to both genders in my fifth grade class. They use them for review before a timed test, turn them inside out during the test, and return them after the test. Some choose to keep them on for extended periods of time.
