Just place this in the center of the craft table with all the supplies the kids need. The sections are large so they can hold larger items like glue sticks. Sometimes smaller items may jump to neighboring sections. So try not to put out more than you need so you don't have to separate the extras,.. or try to place smaller items a couple sections away from each other so they do not mix as easily. I can see using one of these trays per large table but I guess you could also put this on a side table and have kids collect their supplies to take to their seats. Overall I was also impressed by the thickness, size, and sturdiness of this tray. I have no doubt it will last and can be used constantly.
