We use these sand timers as a visual gauge for my son to know how long his homework problems can take him. He tries to finish problems before the time runs out, and that helps make his homework more interesting, and it takes him less than half the time it did before we had the timers. They are fun and bright, and in school if the teacher uses them to help my son keep up( he is easily distracted), the other kids just think its kind of cool. They are very high quality.. not junky- We'll have these for years..

I love that this set has 5 sand timers instead of 3 that we may find in some other stores. The tube itself is really sturdy and seems very difficult to scratch or break. But, I am not sure about the tops. They looks easy to take out as I received 2 sand timers that the tops were unglued. That is why it is better to be used with preschoolers and older kids. Overall, I am very happy with this ser and they are very attractive and colorful.
