Group Fun with Pattern Blocks
We use a spinner with the shapes in a group game. The children try to make a pattern block picture. Once all of one shape is used, if someone spins that shape again then the shape has to be taken away. This makes completing the picture quite challenging.

The foam shapes are good for imaginative play but the pattern cards that you can buy to go with them are designed for much older children.
