Great beginner scale
My 3 1/2 year old son wanted to use this as soon as he saw it. The bears are labeled 3, 6, 9, and 12. He had fun putting the bears on and off and seeing which was heavier. I found it wasn't very accurate with small differences such as 18 vs. 21. Otherwise it's fun and educational.

This scale is great for all ages, but I purchased it for my 2yo preschool. We use this with the SORTING CENTER and anything that we can find around the classroom. Those who "can" use the flat surface, those who are not there yet, use the buckets to weigh items! Great item for the price.

The first scale came with small fissures. I called and they replaced it immediately, no fuss. The scale and bears have multiple applications. Numbers on bears can be used for mathematical equations: balancing the equation. Scale seems sensitive enough for kids.

Kids loved it!
I bought this scale for my four year olds daycare class. As soon as we opened the box the kids were "nuts" over the little bears. The teacher showed the children how to use the scale and the kids were playing with it immediately.

versatile balance scale
This is a great item to teach children about energy balance in terms of calories. It is very easy to describe the concept of energy in being food balanced with energy out being activity. Works from grade 2 up to high school.
