Good learning skills for kids
The only thing I didn't like about this register is that some of the play money fly's out when we pushed the open button. Bought it for my 3 to 5 year olds and I think an older child would like it better. I was surprised to know that we could use real coins in the slots!

Purchased for our kids to play with, to learn money management and counting skills. I love this register. I will say, when you open the drawer the lightweight coins come flying out, but the kids were going to leave then in the floor anyway. The drawer has three slots for bills, but four bill types ($1, $5, $10, $20).

I bought this or my grandson who is in first grade and he was learning abut the values of the different coins. I also have 3 other grandchildren, two of them preschool and kindergarten ages. They all three enjoyed playing "store", making change, charging with the credit card and purchasing different items around the house. It was a huge hit! It is a very good purchase. The one slight drawback is that the drawer opens rather forcefully and the coins can "jump" out but the kids learned to put a hand near the drawer and slow down the opening.

I am using the product for our summer camp program. The kids range in age from 5-12 and enjoy pretend play. In the past they have made up their own cash and didn't have a register. I think they will love having it.
