The idea of this is great for kids. However, I returned this because once you begin to pound pegs through the foam and the foam becomes full of holes, it's ruined. Your child just ends up hammering the pegs through the existing holes and it takes the fun out of this activity. Not to mention that part of this toys purpose is to build gross and fine motor skills and when you easily pound a peg into an existing hole, well it defeats this purpose. A possible solution to improve this product is to have replacement foam that you can change after the old one becomes covered in holes. But it may not be worth it as it would be a waste of material and you would have to pay to buy replacement foam.
