Bigger than they look!
I absolutely love these blocks! I was pleasantly surprised when i received them, as they are much bigger than they appear on the website. I had so much fun deciding what to fill them with. I used marbles, silver bells, acorns and leaves, feathers, pom poms, beans, pipe cleaners...etc. ** Although th...e marbles were beautiful, unless packed tightly, they will crack the plexi-glass when kids shake them! The edges are perfectly rounded, safe for toddlers. These blocks are also nicely finished. I would definitely recommend these blocks to anyone that works with children. They are very versatile and add interest to any traditional block set.

Good but has problems.
It is a really neat idea but we have not had these very long and the plexiglass is cracking.

Some of the screws were messed up and I couldn't use the screwdriver on them very well. Also, one of the panes cracked the first day I put them down for the children to use. They are not very durable. We have to be to careful with them and I don't really want the young ones to use them. The panes scratch up easily too.

Open ended, engaging blocks. You can add anything that fits in the opening! We have tried marbles, glass beads, m and m's, rocks, beans. We can not wait until spring for flowers, sticks, nature walk collections, acorns, seeds. They have worked just fine for my 2 year old, 4 year old and 7 year old. I have reinforced that they are not for rough play or standing on since they have plexiglass on the sides. As far as that goes, it is plastic, but it is pretty durable (I could see it breaking, but it has not done so for us). The sides screw on solidly, so even with a toddler determined to get to the m and m's, the contents were safe (not intended for liquids). They match the block shapes up to make other geometric designs, held the colors up to the light, glow sticks would be awesome for dark. Many uses as long as no one is planning on hurling them across the room!

I noticed that none of the reviews said anything about how old the kids were who were playing with the blocks. Silly me! I let my 18 month old play with the blocks and one of the plexiglass sides broke immediately. He was banging the blocks together. I was sitting right in front of him, but he broke it before I could take it away. I still think these blocks are great. I'm keeping them to play with one at a time (supervised of course) and for when my child gets older. We use them on the light table filled with cellophane, feathers, glitter/sequins, seeds, dead insects, and whatever else we can find.

Comments about Product
These blocks are great for displaying items in that maybe too small for young children. We have a letter of the week and we fill them together as a class and at times the teacher fills them. We love to fill them with bells or other objects that create sounds. These blocks are more for display then heavy building blocks. They are nice and big, we love the size but they are not as rough and tough like solid blocks. Some care is needed when building with the blocks because they are not solid. I plan to purchase a few more sets as we are a group of 16 and one set is not enough for us.
Comments about the Service
