This was my second chalkboard. This one is for me. I'm 67 yrs old and there are times when I need to write down things I know I will forget. It can be a handy tool for the elderly.

I was looking forward to using chalkboards with my two girls at home to practice letter-writing skills, but we can't even really write on these boards. The concept is perfect...it's just that the material used to create these boards is not a chalkboard material. It is more of a shiny-film material. Chalk does not write very well on this surface...very aggravating.

Not a "Chalk"board. Just painted plastic, so that chalk doesn't adhere. Seems difficult to find old-fashioned slate, which would be much more effective. Threw in trash.
Great item!

The surface or the chalkboard is like smooth green cardboard. It is NOT easy to write on. I was attracted by the fact that the board has two sides, one with manuscript lines and one for pictures. It was also the best price for chalkboards I could find on the internet. I cannot say it was a good buy though, since my students do not like to use them.
- Pros
- Washability
- best price on the internet
- durability
- Cons
- difficult surface to write on

- REVERSIBLE: This personal-size chalkboard is reversible! One side is unruled for drawing and the reverse side is ruled for practicing early writing skills.
- EASY TO WRITE: It features 7/8" ruling (topline to baseline) with extra space below the baseline for descender letters.
- SIZE: Board measures 12 inches W x 9 inches H.
- CREATIVITY: Story boards support early language skills, communication, imagination, creativity and self expression.
- EDUCATIONAL: Ideal for beginning writers to practice letters and building words. Children can sketch on one side and write a story on reversible side.
