This little box is so clever to practice pre-writing! The different colored plastic sheets on the bottom are fun for kids to see their drawing clearly, rather than just looking at the bottom of a beige box. I bought an inexpensive light box which makes their sand writing magical. However, I still use it without the light box sometimes and it works great. I like that you can use the upright chalkboard as a lid also.
