Student Read-To-Self Boxes
My students keep their Read To Self book selections and their Read To Someone fluency folders in these boxes. I label the front with their name, and they all sit on my library shelves until our Daily 5 ELA rotations. At the end of the year, my students draw and decorate them with marker illustrati...ons of the favorite book characters and illustrations we've share throughout the school year (Jack and Annie from Magic Tree House, Tacky the Penguin, Hedgie the hedgehog from Jan Brett's books, Junie B. Jones, Humphrey the Hamster, Amelia Bedelia). We call them our Memory Boxes, and they take their journals and writing portfolios home in them for the summer!

Ok...
I bought these for my students to use as book boxes. I love that they are cardboard so that children can personalize their box with drawings and decorations. They are not that sturdy, though and fall over easily with books inside. They were fairly easy to assemble but needed reinforcement with tape,... in my opinion. My biggest complaint about this product is the price (too pricey when you need 20+)...

These are just right to organize my books in my library and in my cubbards!
I buy these every year.
We decorate and use them to send home literacy materials so they can keep everything together at home.
Sturdy
I will use magazine holders as "Book Boxes" for my students whereby they can choose up to 5 books at their level and slightly challenging so they are not constantly getting up to exchange their books at the classroom library. Students will get to decorate them with their own personal designs!
Annual purchase
These are my "go to" book bins each year. The kids get to decorate and personalize them. At the end of the year, they are excited to take them home filled with books I am "retiring" from our classroom collection.

Best Book Boxes I Have Found!
I put these on a 3 shelf rolling book cart to store my students' book boxes for Read to Self and it works wonderfully! I don't have the students ever take the boxes off the cart, so I think that is why they have held up so well. I have tried SO many different ways to store Read to Self books and this is by far the best! I love that the students can make them their own as well. A nice bonus. Makes a great first day activity as well (to decorate)
