The perfect palette for any young artist! These vibrant tempera paint cakes are ideal for helping kids express their creativity. Comes in their own sturdy plastic tray with 8 cakes of brilliant tempera paint and a handy water-cup holder in the center. Each paint cake measures 2 1/2" x 3/4" thick. Paint on canvas, paper, wood, and other paint absorbent surfaces. Kids love the fun shape and setup of our cup and tray tempera cakes. Paint cakes are non-toxic and safe for children.
- WHAT YOU GET: Tempera paint cakes are economical and easy to use and store. 8 paint cakes comes in a tray and ready to use. Comes with a paint cup for water to allow for paint dilution. Tray is reuseable. Each cake is 2 1/2" x 3/4" (diameter).
- BOLD, BRIGHT COLORS: 8 bold primary colors that easily can be blended together. Learn about the color wheel and advance your knowledge of color combinations.

- TO USE: Wet a paintbrush, swirl on the cake, then paint away! No special storage is necessary. When done painting, simply let the cakes dry out in the palette and re-wet them for next painting session.

Not washable
We used these at a childrens museum and so I assumed they were washable. They are not. They have stained clothing and almost stained our kitchen counter.

I really hate dragging out bottles of tempera (although I do), so these tempera cakes have brought back my enthusiasm for setting up a painting workspace for my grandkids. The cakes are large and provide vivid color. They are easy to wipe off when the kids do their mixing of colors. Easy setup and easy cleanup! I think this is a great product. And, yes, the bottles of paint are a little more fun, but the kids are very happily using the cakes.
