Heavy and durable. I bought two sets for Christmas gifts. The puzzles are so big that one puzzle per kid would have been sufficient. So you could reasonably get three very nice gifts out of one set of these puzzles. The boys I bought them for dove right in! They were very excited and really enjoyed them. Ages 6 and 4.
