clear tone
This mini glockenspiel has a clear tone and pitch which is superior to other preschool gloks I have heard. It will help develop little ears with good quality sound. (I am a professional musician)

Better for schools or older children
I purchased this for my 1 and 2 1/2 yr. olds. Unfortunately I did not know that the bars can easily be removed so I can not leave them alone with this toy. That was disappointing. Otherwise it is a beautiful musical intrument for little ones.

GOOD SOUND QUALITY BUT WILL FALL APART EASILY- THE SOUND BARS FLIP OUT EASILY. ALSO IT IS VERY SMALL. I BOUGHT IT TO REPLACE A LITTLE TYKES ONE DID NOT COMPARE AT ALL. YOU SHOULD NOT USE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 OR 6 YEARS OLD.
Kids take it apart instead of playing it
We are a resource center serving parents of infants, toddlers and preschoolers in various classes including sports and music, plus free play. This product is cheaply made of plastic except for metal bars, which can be lifted off the frame very easily - and that's what the kids did instead of making music. Returned this item and will not reorder.

The keys come right off. It's almost like a puzzle where the pieces come apart and then you have to put it back together except I DON'T WANT IT TO COME APART. I'm returning it. It's awful.

Preschoolers have to be monitored with this product. The bars are easily removable and children love to take things apart. In a day care center, this leads to loss. However, the children do enjoy playing this instrument.
