Kids Love It!
I remember using these when I was in school and thought our daycare kids would love these. The design is a bit more difficult than others since you have to really get the right way to toss the ball for it not to flop but if you take the time to teach the kids the right technique, they seem to love i...t. The colors are bright and fun and it's nice to see some of the kids that have difficultly playing with others pick these up to toss to themselves. It's a good use for "competition" in pairs too. The only con is that because the colors come in pairs, the kids automatically think it's a two player game, but that's not any fault of the distributor. As long as you remind the kids that the color of the scoop doesn't matter and you can throw it to anyone.

popular with kids but not so durable
I keep these all in a bucket and the 6 kids in my house love playing with them: alone, in pairs, or in groups, with one "scoop" or one in each hand. We lost one ball in the first 48 hours of play, though. It split along the casting seam. The rest of them seem to be holding up okay, so it may hav...e been a manufacturing fluke. Or maybe not. Fun while it lasts, at any rate.

I bought the scoop ball sets to use with my first graders for a outdoor physical activity on non-P.E. days. It took the students a little while to get the hang of how to throw and catch the ball with the scoop, but once they figured it out they were thrilled. Now they look forward to playing with them. I wish I had 18 instead of 12 so they could all play at the same time.

The kids love these. They're like Jai-Alai. Even if they can't get them back and forth to each other, they love to fling the balls around. They're bright, and colorful, and the kids just love them.
