This item was purchased for the use of the infants in our childcare. It is marked for a 6+ month in the description and the box. It was filled with water and put on the floor for the infants to watch the water and the floating items. They appeared to thoroughly enjoy this and they would take their hands and try to touch the items in the water. It was very enjoyable watching them interact with the Play Mat. One infant would lay their head on the pillow (it was cool and would give with their head on it). However, one of the children bit the Play Mat and we now have a deflated item. I would suggest not using with infants that have teeth and/or using a different material that cannot be bitten and a hole put in it.
