Unique use satisfying despite challenges
Actually, I shopped as a person who wanted to save a picture I'd bought. I happen to be a sort of administrator, as the executive director of a small nonprofit for vocational rehabilitation. I am a certified rehabilitation counselor. In a sense I also care for a small child, as my husband is 94 a...nd much reduced in his present capabilities. Primarily, my mission is to help restore the broken pieces for individual human beings with disabilities. Although the cover I bought was intended for books, I used it to stabilize glass in a picture frame that had broken into an artistic pattern over an enlarged photographic print. Getting the pieces into place was a project in itself. I used a small piece of the cover to put right down onto the part that had the trickiest piecing. With cardboard pieces cut to size, I turned the glass out of the frame and covered it entirely with another piece of the clear contact material, then turned it back, carefully removed the original patch, and covered that whole side with a new piece. It wasn't easy to make it flat. There are a few small air bubbles and creases. But it's fairly good. In order to apply, I folded back one edge of facing about an inch, set the exposed cover material carefully at the top of the glass, then gently, steadily pulled the facing material out from under the cover material, allowing it to settle onto the glass. I was very pleased to find this way of stabilizing a collection of pieces.

I love this stuff! I have preschoolers at our small school - the more I "laminate" the longer it lasts. I have lesson supplies from "many" years ago that I use year after year. I do not have the space or the budget to buy a machine, nor do I have the time to run out and get it done. This works so well for fast, small projects. Older students will come back and say they are still using the....placemat, ornament, gift, etc. that they made and "laminated" in my class years later! And I love that you can reposition items - I am such a klutz and mess it up almost every time. Thanks for keeping this in stock.

Very good product. I use it for "laminating" name tags, posters and other resources so I can use them for multiple school years. Easy repositioning but it will stick to itself if given the chance. Provides lasting results and if you're one of those people who doesn't like the fingerprint marks that can be left on it, simply use rubbing alcohol on your hands or put tight fitting gloved on beforehand and voila!

Great product! After using the non repositional this is a saving grace for what I use it for. Stained glass patterns that are very large to handle so it helps to be able to pull apart when it doesn't lay right at first.
