It worked well with my students. The purpose was meant. I didn't feel that the colors were that bright once they got it on the paper. I made a sample and thought that the colors could be brighter. The kids were thrilled with their project. Mission accomplished.

I was very disappointed in these watercolors. They look fine, but the color trays are tiny and used up very quickly. I bought a case of these for a middle school program on color and watercolors, and we had to totally scrap the lesson plans and do something else, due to the low quality of the paints. Very disappointing. But would be fine for very light use or simply to play with, not to actually create colorful paintings.
