It says no clumps but mine was really clumpy and hard to work with. the kids love them though so I guess it is ok by me. It is a bit harder than the ready to use stuff.

I purchased this as a donation to a domestic violence shelter. I'm looking forward to seeing the kids do the artwork with the employee that does art with them. I remember having these types of paint as a child and thoroughly enjoying them.
Love powder tempera paint!
I really enjoy using the powdered tempera paint. One issue I have is the green is really hard to mix and I'm not sure why but it does not mix with water very easily like the other colors. I wish the containers were filled by volume and not by weight because the containers are never completely full. My best use for them is painting on the viewing window of one of our classrooms. I can paint murals and these paints work great for that compared to already mixed tempera paint.

I bought this set for a performance art piece I did at my university. It went wonderfully! There were plenty of variety in colors, and we had plenty to spare afterwards. The only downside was that one or two of the colors would not mix smoothly, even with careful measuring and stirring. They were still useable and worked, but their appearance was a little off.
