It keeps your table nice and clean and when the trays are dirty they clean up very well (full disclosure - I only use washable paints and glues). I used one time outside with my kids and after about 1/2 hour the product warped. Do not put in the dishwasher or let soak in a sink of water. Great size for little hands just needs to be made of a stronger material similar to trays.

The trays are indeed "mini." They are great for small group teaching where each student has limited space anyway. They do give definition to the individual's workspace so items ( letters, blocks) don't get mixed up with someone else's. It does NOT replace a large tray to hold lots of things.
