This set of Colorations® Stumpy Sponge Stampers includes 12 different designs: tree, cat, leaf, star, fish, flower, heart, turtle, sun, house, teddy bear, butterfly. Use these stampers for storytelling, recognizing shapes, and more. The durable dense foam is better than competitor's disposable brushes, great for use with tempera, activity, BioColor® and watercolors. Premium smooth handles hold up to repeated washing. Simply wash with soap and warm water and throughly dry and then ready for re-use. The heads of these sponge stampers are made of water-absorbing sponge, making them great for children, great for home and school use. Stampers range from 2 3/4"L x 1 3/4" to 2"W x 3 1/4"H. I purchased these to use, on the Colorations® Jumbo Washable Classroom Stamp Pad, with my granddaughter. Sadly, the sponges don't work well with this. We push down on the stamp pad, but the edges of the sponge barely receive any ink. When stamping them on paper, the round center of the handle shows up, but not the shapes! Very disappointed!

Almost 3 year old loves these. My child likes using the handles but gets disappointed that paint does not get even distributed by using the handle alone. An older child may not mind having to press the edges of the sponges to make sure paint is transferring everywhere.
