These are expensive but hardly "heavy-duty." We have bought several in the past few years and every one broke within 2-3 months. At first, DSS replaced the broken ones (which also broke). Now Hamilton won't take one back after 30 days. It's as if they know the quality is poor. Not even worth one ...

The first one did not work at all. The replacement did not last more than two weeks.
CD player skipped from the start
It never played ripped CDs without skipping. After 3 months it started skipping whenever it got too warm or after 3 songs. After a year it skipped after one song. After 15 months it stopped working all together. After 22 months it started eating tapes. Bye Bye

Sadly, terrible boom boxes

We have purchased 16 boomboxes for our early learning grant and we have returned three and in the process of returning 3 more (so 6 in total). Problems have ranged from not playing CDs to sometimes playing CDs and sometimes not, to the CD lid being locked and not functional. This boom box would be great if it actually worked! I am asking for a refund or credit and will not be purchasing boom boxes from this manufacturer ever again.

The volume is limited which is good for children using headphones but a disadvantage if you want to turn it up for large group or outdoor use. The cord wiggles and comes unplugged easily. We will be returning it for a new one. The multiuse and compact size are nice.
