These fans are made of thick, high quality paper. These will be used for my wedding and we plan on stamping all of them. Each fan needs to be "trained" to open and close but it's well worth it. [...] These are completely blank and ready to use and worth paying a dollar more a dozen.

Kids were excited to paint and decorate but half of them lost the bottom small plastic piece that held them together. They were also not easy to open and close but other reviewers advice helped that.

My daughter turned 5 and wanted to decorate fans for her birthday party. I showed the kids how to flatten the paper to paint and color and they were a hit with all the girls!! It's tricky to teach a 5 year old how to open them but they learned. I would buy these again and even some parents asked where I got them.

I was so excited to find a fan that I could afford. I guess you get what you pay for. The first time we used them they were broken. I know I have young children but we did not do anything but open them up and the wood cracked.

I ordered these fans for my 2 daughter's birthday party craft time, years ago. Now I am using it for my Japanese class craft time for my students. The fans are pretty sturdy, but not very well made and does not fold back into place once it is painted with paint. However, for the intended purpose it works well since the kids can be very creative in how to decorate it and they actually get to use it! I love crafts that are fun, creative yet practical, and so do they.
