Plan ahead because several of ours was broken. Ordered 60 birdhouses as a Father's Day project. 14 of them were broken. DSS mailed replacements out quickly which is much appreciated. The kids had fun painting them. I recommend using different paint than what is provided. However, provided paint does work. The product looks well made and with all the kids rough and tough handling during painting, they hold up good.

I bought this product for our cub scout den. I was looking for birdhouse kits, but this is what I found. They came assembled, so we decided we would stain them. They are small, so we bored out the holes. The birdhouses are well made and should last through the winter outdoors.

The theme of the day was backyard habitats and how to make your yard more inviting to wildlife. These birdhouses worked into that theme nicely. They were well built but a bit smaller than expected. I am not sure that any real birds could use these but they will make a nice decoration in a garden. The kids painted them with permanent acrylic paint so it would not wash off in the rain.

we used these for a big corporate event and they were great. the only issue is that they are smaller than they look in the picture...but in the long run, that was good for us, given that we had so many kids decorating them. They are very sturdy and well made, and I would recommend them to others.
