My 2 year old son has carried it everywhere since he opened it. Unfortunately Discount School Supply does not sell fake diapers or doll clothing. Old NB size hand-me-downs work (a little big, but ok), and we've made diapers out of old socks. The biggest draw back is that he won't leave the house until I've helped him properly dress the baby.

Ten years ago, one of my kids requested the African American girl doll for her birthday. It was dressed in newborn sized clothes and loved for many years. Our pediatrician was amazed at the detail and correctness, down to the headshape. My young son now plays with it, causing angst on the part of his sister, so I am buying him his own different doll.

I bought this doll for my son to teach him about infant care since he will soon be a big brother. It is realistic looking and safe to get wet (bathe). A little hard to find clothes to fit it, as it's not quite newborn size, but that didn't seem to matter to my son. My only complaint is that the plastic smell is so strong that it gave me a headache. Hopefully it will wear off after some time.

My granddaughter loves this doll. It fits in preemie clothes, is just the right size for a young child, has a sweet face and the anatomical feature is great. A new baby brother is coming and this doll is helping the transition. It smells strongly of vanilla. Also, the skin tone is orange-ish but the color is toned down once the doll is in clothes. Overall, this doll is great.
